What a reading bunch of Galesville kids!
We had a great response to our reading program this summer.
The Friends of the Galesville Public Library
will donate 25¢ for every hour of reading
to the Galesville Elementary music class!
Ms. Moak is planning to use the money
to buy a drum called a cajón (ka-hone).
Special recognition goes to the Children’s Palace kids,
who all read at least 15 minutes per day.
Almost every one of them logged 20 hours of reading!
Our grand total is . . . (cajón roll, please) 1,077 hours!!
That’s a donation of $269.25,
“beating” our record of $168.00 (2017) by over $100.
Reading is the real reward for all we do
at the Summer Library Program.
Congratulations to all, because reading is fun
and your brains are ready for the school year.
Libraries Rock!
